Finally we are getting round to sending all our ‘thank yous’.

I just wanted to say how impressed I was from start to finish, ie from booking the wedding until leaving on the Sunday after the wedding.

All our dealings with your team throughout the planning phase have been excellent and put my mind at rest.
When my sister and I arrived at the hotel on the Friday with ‘umpteen’ bags and wedding dress etc, the porters were brilliant.

Manish – well what can I say; he was worth his weight in gold.  We had a meeting on Friday evening to go over the details for the following day and once again any worries I had were put to rest.  He told me I had to be the bride and not the organiser from then on and to enjoy the day.  Having organised conferences in the past myself I knew exactly what I wanted and Manish did that for me.  I’m used to organising and not being the centre of attention – it was a whole new concept for me!!!!

On the day he phoned the room to check that everything was going OK and then came up to check as well – very reassuring.  He liaised well with Paul and his brother (the Best Man) and left nothing to chance.  He escorted us down to the Bulstrode suite and made me laugh when he ran down the stairs whilst we were in the lift – I needed that laugh at that point.

The previous evening I had mentioned my now step daughters love of Yorkshire pudding – with this in mind he made sure she had 2 on her dinner.  Her eyes nearly popped out of her head as she was the only one with two – another tick in the box.  Whenever we needed Manish he was around although not in the way.  When the cake collapsed he was there in an instant.  Both sets of parents were impressed with his manner and ability to know when he might be needed.  Please pass on our very grateful thanks to him.

As you know we had a small family dinner on the Friday evening.  The restaurant staff were brilliant.  My brother and his wife arrived later than anticipated but the waitress looking after us dealt with them very quickly and efficiently.  We found all the staff that evening very nice and friendly.  However, I would like to apologise for the fact that we sat around at the table for so long afterwards – they should have ‘thrown us out before’.  We continued the bar and again the bar staff were very helpful and polite.

The very kind waitress who had looked after us on Friday evening was again on duty Saturday morning and had laid a large table to accommodate our whole party – very thoughtful.  We came down in dribs and drabs but sat around ’till well after 10am (when I disappeared upstairs).  There was no hurry from the staff – again, please pass on our grateful thanks.

We had a lot of guests who stayed on the Saturday night and everyone seemed extremely happy with the hotel accommodation.  I think one or two people did find the rooms a little warm – I assume these were rooms without aircon.

Paul and I are extremely grateful for everything that you and your team did for us and cannot speak highly enough of the hotel.  Everything went like clockwork.  I would certainly recommend The Bull to anyone getting married.
I’ve attached some pictures as requested which include one of the top table before the guests arrive and during the speeches – it was lovely.  The official photos are brilliant but we haven’t got the disc yet!

Dear Mr Price

I would like to take a minute to sincerely thank you and your staff involved in helping to create the magical day my daughter (Nicola) and her new husband (Carl Bruce) had on Saturday 22nd August. The assistance we had from Danielle Beukes and the event manager for the day (whose name I unfortunately do not know) was simply magnificent, at all stages from the preparation on day one to the smooth running on the day was faultless.
I would very much appreciate it if you would pass on my thanks and gratitude to them both.

Hi Hannah and Claire

Well, we’re now back from honeymoon and settling in nicely to married life. Honeymoon was very nice and we both really enjoyed it.

Just e-mailing you both to say an absolutely massive massive thank-you for everything you both did for the wedding.
Hannah – you were so brilliant on the day I can’t tell you. Calm and collected (especially when I was finishing getting ready and running slightly late!,) attentive throughout the whole day, making sure Chris and I were both ok throughout the day. Please thank all your team also as they were all brilliant too. I hadn’t even got my stuff neatly together to move rooms, but you or one of your team moved everything for us during the day was really great.

Claire – You arranged everything perfectly. You kept in touch with me, always came back to me if I had any little queries and I just generally felt like we were in good hands.

Chris and I had such a wonderful day, as did our guests so once again – both thank-you so much for making it so special. We want to do it all again now! It’s so worth all the preparation and planning (and money!)

Dear Robert,

I just wanted to write to you about our wedding on 4sep09 at your hotel. we had a wonderful day. all our guests enjoyed the venue,the food,the service- which is just what we wanted. A lot even said it’s without a doubt the best wedding they have ever attended.

But I don’t think it would have been possible without our wedding planner Claire Bowler and our event organiser Manesh. I emailed and rang Claire nearly everyday on the run up to our wedding- nothing was too much trouble.. even the silly little things. and Manish just made our day run so smooth. They even fixed our wedding cake which was damaged on the way to hotel.

They gave us the wedding of our dreams So I just wanted to pass this on to you….as I feel today people are quick to complain and never praise. These two people are an asset to your company. you should be very proud of them.

I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to you and your team for organising our wedding, it was just perfect! You have been so patient with me all along and all my plans and visions were realised on the day with no hitches!

I would really like to also send my thanks to Manish who was absolutely fantastic on the day; he really did look after us and we couldn’t have done it without him. He ran around manically all day for us and made sure that everyone was happy. My family were so impressed with him and are so grateful for all his and your efforts.
I don’t really know how to properly thank you guys, but we will hopefully be in touch soon.

Hello Claire,

Firstly, I am so sorry that I have not emailed you before now I have been so busy since the wedding I don’t know where the time has gone.

In reply to the attached letter myself and Steve would like to both thank you for all your help and kindness shown to us whilst handling all of our wedding plans.

As you know, from the moment I walked into the hotel until this day I knew that holding our wedding at your hotel was completely the right choice.

Nothing was too much trouble for you and on the day the same courtesy was shown to us and our guests by Hannah and Rusty, again we both thank you all so much (please pass on the belated gratitude to them both).
The day was perfect and we would not have changed a thing, you saw what a laid back person Steve is and his enthusiasm before the day but even he said he would love to do it all over again (a comment my new mother in law also made and that is a very high compliment!!).

On the day and since our wedding everyone has commented on what a lovely day they had – the food was great and the day was very relaxed (exactly what we had hoped for).

On the following day after our wedding when we came to collect all of our items, we were expecting to be ages packing things away but we were very pleasantly surprised to find that it had all been done for us and we merely had to take the few boxes out to the car – again, belated I know but please pass on our thanks to the staff who did this for us.
I would just like to mention that on the day my aunt (Mrs Ivy Tilluck), cut her finger quite badly on one of the stair rails (not sure which one).  She did report it and hopefully your maintenance staff will have looked into the matter as I wouldn’t like to think that would happen to anyone else (expecially a child).  Other than that no complaints.
A suggestion – when there is a wedding and a spare room has been set-up for guests to freshen up in, maybe a sign can be put in the room to tell guests that they are free to use all the facilities in the room.  Another one of my aunts wanted to lie down for an hour but didn’t like to incase they were charged (I told her after when she told me that she was completely free to do that).

I cannot think of any other suggestions. We did have such a wonderful day and when we think back it really was the best day of our lives!!!  I would have no doubt whatsoever to recommend you and the hotel to any prospective couple and would be happy for you to show this email to anyone or even pass on our email address if couples wanted to know what our day and the lead up was like.

We are going to Greece tomorrow for 2 weeks and will be back on the 25th August should you wish to discuss this further. I feel quite sad that I have no need to deal with the hotel anymore.
Again a very big thank you from both myself and Steve and all of our guests – I am jealous of all brides to be as I want to do it over and over again and just keep looking at our photo’s.

I hope you are really well and enjoying what’s left of the summer.
It gives me so much pleasure to write this email to say thank you for making our wedding reception completely wonderful. There is so much that we want to say in praise for you and all the staff at The Bull that I am not sure where to start!

From the minute we booked with you, you have been so brilliant. Utterly efficient, always putting our minds at ease, kind, caring and so professional. You made us feel that nothing was a problem. You catered to everything we wanted and answered every question we asked. We couldn’t have asked for anyone better to organise our special day.(Especially as we were not the most organised bride and groom!!) Every time we came to the hotel we were warmly welcomed, it started to feel like home.  As we started to book accommodation for guests, Ewelina and Michelle were just as wonderful. Making every enquiry personal, and generally making me feel like they were friends of ours. There was not a single hitch with accommodation and no matter how many times we made changes it was dealt with pleasantly and efficiently.

When we found out you would not be there on he day itself I was so disappointed as we had built up so much confidence in you, but we could not have been in better hands than we were with Rusti and his team. Again, where do I start? The first thing that struck us all about Rusti was what a nice person he is. The Friday before the wedding was quite stressful for reasons that you are aware of, but he made me and Ryan and our family members feel so looked after and again like nothing at all was going to be a problem. He went over every detail with us and from that moment we were completely confident in him too. The staff were busy setting up the room, our chair covers were on and we were free to dress our tables which was a massive help as there is no way we could have got it all done on the Saturday.
On the day itself it was pure joy from the minute we arrived. We were running quite late but again, no problem for the team. They worked with us and I don’t think we could have had a better reception anywhere. Rusti watched over the event all day. Many of the guests noticed this and commented on how brilliant he was. It wasn’t done at all in an invasive way, just in a way that showed how much he wanted our day to be perfect and how seriously he took his responsibility. Anything we needed or asked for was there within minutes. So many of our guests have commented on the hotel and the staff. They were very, very impressed.

The next day Rusti was there again to help us pack up our cars and get going. We were sad to be leaving!!
I don’t quite know the best way to show our gratitude to you all. I hope this email goes some way to do it. I really hope that all of you get recognition for the amount of effort that went into making our day so special and I genuinely hope the hotel continues to prosper. If ever me and Ryan can help with testimonials or any feedback you need for tenders etc please don’t hesitate to ask.
