Bonfire night in Buckinghamshire

The skies of Buckinghamshire will become a mass of colour during this year’s bonfire night weekend with various displays being hosted in and around Buckinghamshire to celebrate Guy Fawkes. If you are a fan of dazzling fireworks, and drawing shapes in the air with sparklers, then we suggest you head to one of Buckinghamshire’s top Guy Fawkes celebrations.

Latimer Minster

On Saturday 3rd November, Latimer Minster is set to host another of their free family friendly events including a bonfire, an amazing firework display, sparklers and refreshments. A toddler friendly firework display starts at 5pm and the main firework display starts at 6pm. Hot chocolate and hot dogs will be served at 4pm. The event takes place at Latimer Minster, Stampwell Farm on Oxford Road.

Beaconsfield Cricket Club

TV presenter and former Welsh international gymnast, Gabby Logan will be the celebrity guest at Beaconsfield Cricket Club’s 37th annual firework display. This includes a fantastic ‘Big Bang’ Musical Fireworks display and Bonfire on Saturday 3rd November. There will be a ‘little bang’ at 5.30pm – a shorter, quieter display for younger children, with fireworks going off at 5.45pm featuring Wycombe Swan’s Snow White. Gabby Logan will light the huge bonfire at 7.15pm, followed by the main musical fireworks from 7.45pm. Advance tickets cost £6 (children under five go free) and on the door tickets cost £8. All profits of this year’s display will support sport, heath and schools in Beaconsfield area.

Gerrards Cross Memorial Centre

Enjoy an evening of fireworks, music and refreshments at Gerrards Cross Memorial Centre’s family friendly display. With a wonderful display of fireworks you can enjoy a delicious BBQ from Savannas Butchers. The event will take place on 3rd November 2018 and starts at 5:30pm. Tickets are available at £7 per adult, £5 per child and a family ticket is £20.

Flackwell Heath Sports Field

Another great show has been organised for Flackwell Heath at the sports field at the end of Chapel Road, with two displays in one night – one for the children and another to finish off the night. Gates open from 6pm, with the bonfire at 6.45pm, followed by the fireworks 7pm and the second lot at 7.40pm. Tickets at the gate cost £7 each and £5 in advance, except for under-fives who get in free with their parent/carer. There will be a bar and BBQ. All profits go to the Flackwell Heath Schools and Scouts.

However you choose to celebrate bonfire weekend, here at The Bull we can offer a warm welcome and hearty meal in our Beeches Restaurant.  There are many chef’s specials to choose from including an Aberdeen Angus beef burger, rump of lamb and spring pea risotto. Complimented by our delicious rum crème brûlée, vanilla cheesecake or an English cheese selection, a real treat to make your evening finish with a bang. Book your table online today!
