Chilli Festival Weekend at Waddesdon Manor
For those who love a little spice in their life, the Chilli Festival weekend is just the thing for you. This year, the event will be celebrating its 10th anniversary – and what better way than with some fantastic entertainment and over 50 handpicked, chilli loving exhibitors? From local artisans to nationally recognised independent traders, you are sure to find an absolutely wonderful chilli related memento to take home with you. With the festival just around the corner, start planning your weekend away in Buckinghamshire!
The festival will be taking place on September 3rd and 4th at the beautiful Waddesdon Manor in Aylesbury. It will be running from 10am to 5pm each day, with admission prices for adults at £10, children at £5, and a family ticket at £25. Members of the National Trust and children under 5 will be granted free admission.
In terms of exhibitors, there are many to choose from throughout the day. If the weather gets hot, there are a range of refreshment stands spread across the grounds that will be happy to provide you with anything from water to soft drinks and beer of course! You will not go hungry either with a fleet of delicious artisan food stalls lined up for guests. With most of them serving up a spicy surprise, you are going to want to try them all. There will be cakes and other sweet treats on offer to give your taste buds a well-deserved break.
Don’t forget the house and garden will be open to everyone throughout the weekend, so you can admire and explore the beautiful grounds of Waddesdon Manor with friends and family. To keep the little ones entertained, there are activities such as building your own cactus and even some traditional Mexican ‘Day of the Dead’ face painting to take part in. No festival is complete without music so to get the event going, critically acclaimed band Latin Fiesta will be bringing upbeat music to Aylesbury from 10.30am each day.
Whether you want to sample exotic cuisine or simply kick back and relax with a locally brewed beer, the Chilli Festival would make a great weekend away with the family.
