Christmas in Buckinghamshire
Christmas officially begins in Aylesbury on 20th November when the annual Christmas light switch on is performed by stars from the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre production of Cinderella. An evening of free fun is planned with music from local radio station Mix 96 and local choirs, street traders to keep you entertained and fed. Lights are switched on at 18:50 followed by a fantastic firework display and late night shopping until 20:00.
On 30th November, Santa parades through Aylesbury with his Snowman, Snow Queen and acrobatic elves through the High Street at 10:30 and into his Grotto. Once settled he will be welcoming all the children of Buckinghamshire that have been good with a free gift so don’t forget your Christmas lists!
There are more magical adventures with Santa if you head over to the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre. Settle down in your reserved seat and Santa will come and spend some special time with you before asking his Pixie helpers to bring in his toy sack and help you choose your special gift. Then enjoy a special trip around the countryside with your very special guest. Dates and time information can be found at Buckinghamshire’s Railway Centre website.
The Bull Hotel in nearby Gerrards Cross has two very special days lined up for your young ones. On 13th and 20th December come along for breakfast and we will ask a very special guest to join you, and on 21st December that very special guest will be joining us for lunch, games and tricks; who knows, you might get to find out some of Santa’s secrets. The Bull Hotel is also the perfect spot for all the major towns in Buckinghamshire to finish off your Christmas shopping; so take advantage of our weekend offers.
